I drink and smoke, but eat healthy and I was wondering if this is what is causing my high cholesterol.  Before I was just drinking wine (white) and then I met a partner that drinks Whiskey and I join him.  I also mix it with diet pepsi.

I know smoking raises cholesterol, but does it make it very high.  Does the sugar in Whiskey make very high cholesterol?

The rule of thumb is 2 drinks per week for a male, 1 for a female, and you'd be better off with red wine.
