Just diagnosed with very high triglycerides and very scared!

I was just dianosed with having high cholesterol. It was the actual triglyceride level that was INCREDIBLY high at 1211, yes you read that right. Does my mother really need drugs for high cholesterol?

My mother's doctor has been trying to get my mom on medication for her cholesterol for years. I am perplexed, because her numbers are as follows: Total Chol. 267LDL 133HDL 104Triglycerides 151  With a ratio of 2.6, aren't those numbers actually good? Becky

LCD High Cholesterol
