Q: TC-202, triglyceride--126, hdl--46, VLDL-25, ldl--131, ldl/hdl ratio--2.8. Any suggestions on what this means and if I have to change my diet. I'm a 42 year old active male.

Wanted to add I do not drink or smoke, I'm 6'2" 215lbs

Hi David,

 

Here are the recommendations of the American Heart Association:


Total cholesterol less than 200
HDL cholesterol at least > 40, ideally > 60
LDL cholesterol at least less than 130, ideally less than 100
Triglycerides less than 150
