Q: Just had physical. 53 year old female. Cholesterol high for the first time. level 255, LDL 141, HDL 75. Father died of heart attack. I don't smoke. 5'4" 137lbs Should I worry?

You may want to discuss a comprehensive lipid panel with your doctor to investigate further into your cholesterol particle sizes. Here is information on lowering LDL cholesterol:

Thank you Lisa for the reply.  I will mention this to my gp.  One last question.  I did forget to mention that I do have scleroderma (CREST syndrome) This wouldn't have an effect on it would it?
