Q: What effect does excercising within 24 hours of cholesterol testing have on the resulting numbers ie HDL, LDL, Ttiglycerides

Hi Rgs76,

 

What you had to eat within 8-12 hours prior to testing will also play a role. If you exercised within a few hours prior to testing your triglyceride levels may have been reduced, but again you dietary intake plays a role. If you question your lab results I recommend discussing a fasting re-test with your physician.
