What if any drug is available that works the same as tricor

Fibrates are a type of drug that primarily lowers the levels of triglycerides in the body, while raising the HDL (good) cholesterol. There are not used much anymore, because they have a lesser effect on the LDL (bad) cholesterol, which is considered the primary target of heart attack prevention. Tricor (fenofibrate) is part of the fibrate class of medications, as are bezafibrate, ciprofibrate, and gemfibrizol(though I am not sure which of these are avialble in the US).
