Q: what time of day should I take crestor

Hello donna brown,

 

Doctors recommend that you take statin drugs (like Crestor, aka rosuvastatin) at night, before bed.  This is suggested because you make more cholesterol in your liver at night when fasting than during the day when eating.  Statins inhibit the formation of cholesterol, so taking the medication at night when more cholesterol is made, maximizes the efficacy of the medication.
