WENT TO DOCTOR WITH CHEST PAINS HAD LDL READING OF 400+ SHOULD BE ON MEDS?

Hi Concerned,

 

It's best to discuss your need for medication with your physician.  LDL itself does not cause arterial plaque build-up.  It's the oxidation of LDL that causes problems.  You may benefit from a comprehensive lipid profile that provides more detailed information on the specific types of LDL particles you're dealing with, so you can make an appropriate treatment choice.
