Hi Daniel,

Dizziness is a possible side effect from using Lipitor. Since you have been taking the medication in the past, I don't think it is an allergic reaction to the medication. Your body may just need some time to get used to the higher strength of the medication. I would give this dose another week or so and see how things go. If the dizziness does not go away or gets worse, I would contact your doctor. In the meantime, I would suggest to avoid driving and operating any type of heavy machinery. You should also try to get up slowly anytime you are sitting or lying down to avoid lightheadness and/or passing out.
