How can you have more than the recommended grams of fat, but less than the recommended range for % kcalories from fat?

To calculate your daily fat grams, multiply your daily calorie intake x 30% and divide by 9 (9 calories/gram of fat).
Let's say your daily calorie intake is 1800 and you want to keep fat intake to a heart healthy range of 30% or less.
1800 x 30% = 540 divided by 9 = 60 grams
So, your fat grams for the day should be 60 grams or less.
