Hi Loria,   To calculate your daily fat grams, multiply your daily calorie intake x 30% and divide by 9 (9 calories/gram of fat).    Let's say your daily calorie intake is 1800 and you want to keep fat intake to a heart healthy range of 30% or less.   1800 x 30% = 540 divided by 9 = 60 grams   So, your fat grams for the day should be 60 grams or less.    I know this doesn't answer your question, but I wanted to make sure we're on the same page when it comes to percent of daily calories and calculating how many grams you should be consuming.   I'd be happy to address your specific issue, but I need a few more details to fully understand your question.  If the above example does not give you an answer, please resubmit your question.   All the best,   Lisa Nelson, RD, LN The Heart of Health - Heart Health and Weight Loss Tips
