The fact is that cholesterol naturally rises with age, there is much skepticism surrounding the connection between cholesterol and CVD, and even more skepticism surround statins for primary prevention especially for women. So I would suggest you look at the opposing view and decide.

You need to get an unbiased opinion and spacedoc is an openly anti statin site dedicated to selling books for the founders and contributors. Go, take a look and see what is there, but don't necessarily drink the Kool Aid. Take a look at their forums and how people are treated with opposing points of view.
