Ann M. BUsh,

Thanks for your question.  The straightforward answer is there is no Omega 3 Fish Oil in Zocor.  Zocor, now available in a generic form (simvastatin), is a compound that blocks the production of cholesterol in the liver, and can lower the total cholesterol as well as "bad cholesterol" (LDL).  Only your doctor can prescribe Zocor for you.  Omega 3 Fish Oil, on the other hand, is available over the counter.

If you are concerned about your levels of cholesterol, you should consult with your doctor about ways to treat or prevent high cholesterol.  Because he knows your history, he is most qualified to help you with this.  Also, please review this website, especially the areas that deal with nutritional ways to help control cholesterol.

I hope this has been helpful.
