I've been taking Crestor every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  It's only a 5 mg dosage, but every now and then I get liver pain.  Last night was one of those nights.  It's on the right side of my abdomen, and it really hurts.  It's a feeling similar to someone kicking me in the upper abdomen.  It's a very uncomfortable feeling.  I mentioned this to my doctor and told him the times I get the pain are on the days I have taken Crestor.  I'm also taking High Blood Pressure medication, but I take Olmetec 20 mg daily for HBP and it doesn't seem to have any side effect.    My doctor sent me for an ultrasound and an MRI.  The MRI didn't show much of anything but the ultrasound showed a slightly enlarged liver and what looks like a liver injury on the left-lobe of my liver.  I cannot recall ever having my abdomen injured.  The doctor said not to worry about it.  He said he wasn't going to put me through the MRI process that involves dye at this point.  However, the pain I felt last night makes me wonder if the Crestor is causing these problems because I never had any pain in my right abdomen before taking Crestor.  I have gained weight - maybe it's weight, but I thought I'd mention this in case anyone else is in the same boat.
