You are correct. Wheat bread is the better option over white bread. The high fiber content promotes lower cholesterol levels. Be sure the bread you select is "100% whole wheat bread" and contains at least 2-3 grams of fiber per slice. You can find bread with 5-7 grams per slice.
I will make sure the producer of The Health Central Network heart sites is aware white bread is listed on the diet to lower cholesterol menu. Thank you for pointing this out.
