Is there an alternative drug to Crestor?

My husband has been taking Crestor for many years because he is diabetic and has a history of heart disease.  Is there any other cholestrol lowering medication besides Crestor that can do just as well? He is now in good health and his cholestrol is 137.  Would it be alright to change or…
