Q: high triglyceride level (750) getting pancreatitis

cholestrol level is normal but triglycerides level is 750 what kind of drug ihave to take  due to that i am getting pancreatitis.

Hi Nepolea,

 

Sugar and alcohol have the greatest impact on triglyceride levels.  I encourage you to eliminate all alcohol from your diet until your triglycerides are under control and find ways to reduce sugars, such as soda, candy, baked goods, refined grains, etc. Check out this post for additional tips to lower triglycerides - Triglycerides: Why they matter and how to lower them.

 

I recommend speaking to your MD regarding medications to treat your condition.
