Q: Crestor or no Crestor??

Originally, I had some bloodwork done and my total cholesterol count was 424. I began to diet and stopped smoking, had my cholesterol rechecked 7 weeks later my total was 308. I have heard that if diet and exercise don't work that you should try med's. Seems to me that event though my total is still high, I AM making progress. My MD still wants to put me on 20mg of Crestor!  I have complied and am currently taking the meds and feel like a lab rat. What else can I do?????
