Hi Mary Ann,

There are many benefits from supplementing omega 3 fatty acids, such as lower triglycerides, high HDL cholesterol, reduced blood pressure, and decreased arterial wall inflammation.

You have several options for increasing your omega 3 intake - diet and supplements.  Here's an article that may be of interest to you - Top 5 Omega 3 Sources to Lower Cholesterol.

All the best,

I cannot make medical claims, but fish oil capsules made in accordance with pharmaceutical grade practices would be my first choice.
