10 years ago, in my early 30's after giving birth to my 4th child my cholesteral was 291. I just took a test yesterday after a year and a half of a special diet (salmon and 100% coco everyday). My cholesteral at 42 years old is now 186, hdl 50, ldl, 120, tryglicerides 82, and vldl 16.... all pretty much looks good (except a little LDL). Can I attribute that to the fish, coco, low carbs, hi protein and daily walks? I think I did good!
Congratulations and well done!!
As an FYI, pregnancy causes cholesterol levels to rise. So, for anyone pregnant discuss with your physician how long to wait after delivery before having cholesterol levels checked for most accurate results.
