Q: My Cholesterol is 234, triglicerides at 94, HDL 67 and LDL 148 - what does all that mean?

my cholesterol is 234, Triglycerides 93, HDL 67 LDL 148 what does that mean?

Hi Rae,


Here are the recommendations of the American Heart Association:

 

Total cholesterol less than 200
HDL cholesterol at least > 40, ideally > 60
LDL cholesterol at least less than 130, ideally less than 100
Triglycerides less than 150
