Q: Can any one help me on my HDL and LDL situation whcih I do not understand at all.TRIG 136HDL 56LDL (CALC) 92CHOL/HDL 3 LLDL/HDL 2VLDL(CALC) 27

Hi Lowliu:

 

Here are the recommendations of the American Heart Association:

 

Total cholesterol less than 200

HDL cholesterol at least > 40, ideally > 60

LDL cholesterol at least less than 130, ideally less than 100

Triglycerides less than 150

 

Your score, if I understand them correctly--look like you are okay.
