Hi, I'm so confused about all the different things people say about how to lose weight. I swear I've read just about everything...so I wanted to hear from the experts. I heard that consuming anything less than 1000 calories will put your body into starvation mode but I've also heard that eating anything less than 1200 calories does that too. Which is it? Also, if I were to consume 1200 calories a day and then exercise off 600, would my body then go into starvation mode? I hope I'm making sense and that it's understandable where I'm coming from. If it helps, I am 18 years old, weigh 135-140 pounds (my scale's broken so I'm left to guessing), am 5'5'' and just want to lose like 3-5 pounds.
