Q: Total chol 127 & HDL is 57, what does that mean for the other numbers? ie LDL, Triglycerides, Ratios

Hi jmcnc1,

 

You do not have enough information to tell you much.  You would need to know LDL or triglycerides to complete calculations.

 

What you do know is your ratio of Total Cholesterol to HDL is 2.23, which is excellent.  To calculate, divide total cholesterol by HDL.

Total Cholesterol is 227, LDL 90 HDL 127 and Trig 60.  Is the HDL of 127 ok
