Canola oil raises LDL cholesterol levels. Canola oil lowers HDL cholesterol levels. Canola oil raises blood pressure. Canola oil slows down the body's metabolism. Canola oil causes extreme gains in weight, 50 pounds for me when I ate it. I lost 50 pounds when I stopped eating it.
