Are the benefits of taking 40 mg of Simvastatin per day the same as 20 mg of Lipitor per day? My

physician has changed me to Simvastatin because my insurance won't cover lipitor. He said I needed 40mg of Simvastatin per day to be comparable with 20 mg. of Lipitor.
