Lovasa for my high triglycerides.

My doctor says my triglyceride level was 3384. She put me on Lovasa. Is there any hope to reduce this?

High triglycerides can be due to genetic mutations, uncontrolled diabetes, obesity, and sedentary habits. At the level you are describing the biggest concern is the development of pancreatitis (a painful inflammation of the pancreas). Lovaza is a good start, but dietary changes and increased physical activity will likely also be needed.
