Is there any link between PCOS, Hypothyroidism and high cholesterol / triglycerides?

At 40 I have been diagnosed with PCOS and high cholesterol & triglycerides. I am 40 and after many months of extreme fatigue and significant weight gain the year 1/2 after the birth of my daughter in 2007, I finally pushed for an endocrinologist to look at my blood to see "what was going on". I was tired of feeling like I couldn't function most of the time. They found the following results: Cholesterol 267, triglycerides 399, HDL 49, & LDL 138, & my thyroid was 3.8. After changes in my diet, exercise, supplements of niacin, fish oil, along with Metformin 2x daily I have lost 10 lbs and lowered my TRIGs to 301 after 2 1/2 mths. Unfortunately, I am still extremely tired and foggy 2 weeks of the month, yet the Endo does not feel I have any thyroid issues. I am trying to educated myself on cholesterol, PCOS, and thyroid. It is so confusing how the cholesterol and thyroid chart levels are so widely varied from physician and labs. Can a woman have PCOS and hypothyroidism too?

THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY HAS CHANGED THYROID NUMBERS.  YOU NEED TO BE UNDER 2.  YOU NEED TO FIND A DOCTOR THAT WILL HELP YOU GET ON THE PROPER THYROID MEDS.  MY THYROID WAS 8.5 AND WHEN I WENT ON MEDS I FEEL LIKE A NEW PERSON.  MY LIFE WAS GIVEN BACK TO ME.  I HAVE LOST WEIGHT AND MY TRIGLYCERIDES NUMBERS ARE FALLING.  IT WILL TAKE TIME BUT I WOULD GIVE THYROID MEDICATION A TRY, IT REALLY WORKS FOR THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.

This video animation shows how cholesterol behaves in the blood stream. Cholesterol is a soft, fat-like, waxy substance found in the bloodstream and in all your body's cells.
