Unfortunately, you have at least 2 risk factors for cardiovascular disease: high cholesterol (though your “good cholesterol” is elevated) and bad genes.  The good news is that your numbers may be able to improve.  First, you need to perform serious lifestyle modifications, by trying to lose weight, eating low fat foods, and exercising.  If this doesn’t work then medications will likely be necessary.
