Q: cooking with country ham

i use country ham for the flavor when cooking pinto beans bean soups and turnip greens. i just found out i have high cholesterol and would like to know if i cand still do this safely?

Hi Michele,

 

You can continue to use ham to flavor your pinto beans, but I recommend selecting lean ham with minimal visible fat.
