My Drs keep pushing statins. i am 78, slightly high chol. and tryglycerides, high HDL. I had severe muscle weakness a few years ago from statins couldn't climb up one step. .  I have controlled BP, no diabeies, not overweight and good genes. I am active. Now my card. wants a CAT scan of my heart. Internist wants a lung CAT scan. granulomas? show up on acute  bronchitis.  I refused both, I may die one of these days.  my brotheres, 5 much older had no severe problems until much older. now they are age. 88-93. showing changes. My mother lived to 100 with good brain and good body. I know the statin studies mostly sponsored by the drug co's..
