Q: i need to know what daily intake of caleries an fats i am allowed to try to lower my cholesteral

my doctor just informed me that my cholesteral is 224 HD   151 LDL. I am wanting to do the right thing to lower my cholesteral. but I dont know how many caleries or fat grams I am allowed each day to help lower my cholesteral. I have been watching what I eat since I started a diet in Feb 07, I have lost 22 pounds and have been able to keep it off. but I am at a stand still and dont seem to loose anymore weight. Could it be because of my cholesteral?

hi, while i am no expert., just from experience , i would say you would have to be on a 1200 to 1500 calorie diet.. low fat foods. anything over 1500 i think is too much., eat allot of vegetables, salads., white meat., cut down on the breads, cakes., hope this helps some.Smile
