Hi BJDemir,   HDL should be above 40 mg/dl and ideally greater than 60 mg/dl.  I recommend you read this post - Tips on How to Raise Your HDL.   Here's a quick summary of the steps to raise HDL: Increase physical activity to at least 30 minutes 5 days/week. Replace saturated fats with healthy unsaturated fats. Add omega 3 fatty acids. Increase dietary fiber. Use alcohol within reason (if you don't drink, don't start!)
