Q: Can Lioitor cause memory loss

I've just been prescribed Lipitor 20mg as my Chlosterol levels 7.3 Triglycerides 2.1. My total HDL ratio is 5.4, but I have a blood pressure of 125 over 75 - which apparently decreases my risk of heart attack. But as I am 63 yers old and my cholesterol levels have been going up and up over the past few years the GP thought it wise that I was put on medication - my concern is that I have had reports from a couple of friends that Lipitor has caused them memory loss when they have taken it and they reverted to Zocor - have you had any other reports of this?

Many thanks Doreen Doran
