Hi J. Rockett,   The normal range for LDL is 70-130 mg/dl.  Depending on your situation, your MD may want LDL to be less than 100 mg/dl.    HDL is beneficial to heart health, so usually high HDL levels (>60 mg/dl) are desirable and protect against heart disease.  However, not a lot of research has been completed on HDL levels greater than 100.  It's best to speak with your MD to evaluate your risk.   All the best,   Lisa Nelson, RD, LN 8 Essential Steps to Lower Cholesterol Naturally
