In response to:
Constipation is a side effect of many medications and is known to affect the entire class of statin-type drugs used for high cholesterol.  You don’t mention which medication you are using, as this is also reported with Zetia.  Try using a stool softener or eating a high-fiber diet or even using a senna-type bowel stimulant medication to help.
