    My cholesterol jumped about 75 points after several cortisone shots in my spine. My doctor says the cortisone does not affect cholesterol levels, but in the past I have had extreme reactions to cortisone. READ MORE

    Hi Ann,


    I did a quick check and did not find elevated cholesterol as a typical side effect of cortisone. Cholesterol levels elevate as part of the healing process and maybe that is linked to what you are experiencing, but that is just a guess. I recommend investigating further with your physician.
