How many calories does each Lovasa capsule contain?

My doctor prescribed 4 capsules of Lovasa for my cholesterol problem.  I am also trying to reduce my calorie intake, cannot find out the calorie count of Lovasa.  Can anyone give me a definite figure for this question?

Lovaza is a prescription omega-3 medication, FDA approved for the treatment of very high triglycerides.  I too am unable to document how many calories each capsule of Lovaza contains.  It is likely to be negligible, but if you are concerned try writing or emailing the manufacturer (GlaxoSmithKline) for this information

I called GlaxoSmithKline, 1-888-825-5249 and asked for calorie count. CS rep says no count is listed in her data. I would imagine it is about the same as any of the fatty oils- which are about 120-150 per TBS (14 Grams). Assuming 150 divided by 14 = 10.7 per gram X 4 = 42.9. Probably somewhere on the net the calories for Omega-3 oil can be found. I'd doubt the difference in what is shown above is significant. Looks like what you take (and what I take) doesn't affect weight.              coty3219

Cotyson commented that there were 14 gms of fish oil, if true, fats have 9calories per gram, 9x14 = 126 calories.

This video animation shows how cholesterol behaves in the blood stream. Cholesterol is a soft, fat-like, waxy substance found in the bloodstream and in all your body's cells.
