i had to be taken off lipitor for side effects had cholesteral levels elevate some could this be

cholesteral levels elevated some on the bad, decreased some on the good, and triglicerides (which were still higher than 200 on the lipitor) got a little higher also.    could this be a rebound reaction to stoping the medication, or might it continue?   My family dr and my cardiologist are both hesitant to restart me on another cholesterol medication because of the side effects i was having.
