Hello gamecockusc,   It is unfortunately very difficult to tell whether your symptoms are due to the drug you are taking or an upper respiratory tract infection.   The side effects of fenofibrate include those you listed: muscle aches, fever, etc.  These sound much like the ones you listed.  However, the only way to tell for sure is if you stop taking the drug, and the symptoms go away.   You should contact your doctor immediately, the one who prescribed the medication, to discuss your illness.   Discuss with him whether or not you are having  a runny nose, coughing, or sinus pressure as these are more likely to be related to infection.  Note whether people around you are sick with similar complaints.  He may choose to order blood work to help discern the cause of your symptoms and only he should decided whether or not you should stop taking your medication.   To your health, Neil MD
