Hi A Mullin,

All medications are metabolized by the liver. Therefore all medication has the potential for interfering with liver function. Here's a list of hepatic (liver) side effects related to prevastatin posted on the drugs.com website:

Gastrointestinal: pancreatitis, hepatitis, including chronic active hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, fatty change in liver, cirrhosis, fulminant hepatic necrosis, hepatoma.

All the best,
