Q: Is a high HDL reason not to worry about a total colesterol of 226?

Hello,  I am 53, female, 102 lbs., 5'2" tall and have a BMI of 18, and do occasional moderate exercise.  My total colesterol is 226.  HDL is 91, LDL is 135, and TRG is less that 45.  226 sounds awfully high to me, but my doc said it's OK because the HDL is high.  Is this true?
