Hi Indy,   (My husbands a big fan, too:)   No, just because your cholesterol levels drop back to normal does not necessarily mean you can stop taking you medications.  You need to consult with you doctor.  Of course, weaning of meds is the end goal, but you need to be closely monitored and follow your doctors guidance.   All the best, Lisa Nelson, RD, LN Heart Health and Weight Loss Tips
