Hi Ron,   There is a link between low cholesterol and increased depression/anxiety.  Cholesterol is a key component of nerve membranes/receptors and low levels of cholesterol may cause fewer than normal brain receptors for "feel good" neurotransmitter serotonin.  It's possible that supplementing your diet with omega 3 fatty acids may alleviate symptoms of depression/anxiety; however, as long as you are not experiencing symptoms I see no reason to be concerned about a low total cholesterol.   All the best,   Lisa Nelson, RD, LN The Heart of Health - Heart Health and Weight Loss Tips
