I do not seem to tolerate cholesterol medications--statins or other kinds either. What natural products can I injest to take the place of prescribed medication?

Hi MDM3673,
Omega 3 fatty acids are a good place to start.
Right now the American Heart Association recommends supplementing 1 gram of omega 3 fatty acids daily for prevention. Studies find a 1 gram omega 3 supplement containing 850 mg of DHA and EPA to reduce heart disease risk 30%.
Always speak with your MD before adding a supplement to your diet, especially since you are taking medications.
