Creatine Kinase (CK) levels are elevated in diseases of the muscles, called myopathy.  On occasion, this can be caused by “statin” drugs, such as Crestor.  The normal CK level is 25-200.  The levels usually need to go up to 5-10 times normal before we are generally concerned, in the absence of the patient complaintong of generalized muscle pain or weakness.
