Q: Hi, 50 yr old white male, 212 lbs, strength train four times per week, cardio once per week. 21% Body fat -- this good, bad, marginal?

Great job being regularly active!


Here is a breakdown of body fat percents for males:

Essential fat 2-4%
Athletic 6-13%
Fitness 14-17%
Acceptable 18-25%
Obese >25% (25% or greater associated with increased health risks)
