Q: Cholestrol levels higher...

Please see below the details of my Cholesterol levels:

Total Cholesterol: 401

Triglycerides       : 491

HDL Cholesterol :   75

LDL Cholesterol  : 103

My main worry is triglycerides and to some extent the HDL.

I have been prescribed with Crestor 20mg. But when I see the side effects on the internet, it's very depressing. So I decided to take some natural reduction methods like "Vita-Heart" Cholesterol Health  and   Ultra Omega 3 (Fish Body Oil).

Changed my whole diet into vegitables, fibre and chicken.

Daily physical exercises etc...

Please suggest if I am doing right with the medication.

Hi Ken,

Congratulations on making positive changes to lower your levels.  Stick with it and you should see results.  Here is a post I recommend you review:

As far as medication, I recommend weighing the pros and cons with your physician to determine the treatment appropriate for you.  Definitely keep you physician "in the loop" to monitor your condition and ensure your treatment choice is giving the desired results.
