Yes, most definately!

for the most up to date list of PROVEN statin adverse effects see the following published in 2009:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2849981/

"Statin Adverse Effects: A Review of the Literature and Evidence for a Mitochondrial Mechanism"

The above is long, however you can get all the info you need by looking at the tables.  Table VIII is where Pancreatitis is listed.

Hi Judy:

You need to speak with your doctor if you are having that much pain. It is hard to say why you are having the symtpoms you're having without be assessed. If you have pancreatitis you need to be treated. If something else is causing the pain, you need to be treated.

I have attached a link that discusses pancreatitis and causes. There have been some conflicting information on whether or not lipitor is linked to pancreatitis. No studies with definate results that I was able to find.

Pancreatitis

Take care,

Tara

Raed the link below to put it in the proper perspective;

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/59862.php

One person in 300,000 taking a statin for a year will develop Pancreatitis. It is a very rare occurence. Just because it is listed as a side effect does not make it common or even remotely common.

This is the type of immature comment that adds nothing to a discussion. Again, you sound like a 12 year old girl texting her friends. What's next, BFF, OMG, LOL?

If you have nothing to add, positive or negative, to one of my posts, please stay off it. You want to dispute it, fine, childish and incoherent comments not needed.
