Q: Flax seed capsules, made from flax seed oil,, containig Omega3, added omega6/9, if taken regularly, one capsule a day, shall have any positive effect on Lowering bad cholesterol? Any side effects?

As on date, after on a controlled diet, four hrs brisk walk and four hrs yoga every day, one Statin daily, all parameters are normal. BP now, in last 30 days, range from 98/64 to 123/74. Hdl, LDL, triglyceride , are normal. FBS and PP are av95,129. Suggest use of flax seed capsules,.I am Asian, 66 yrs of age.

Hi VK Jain,

 

My preference would be adding ground flaxseed to your diet over the capsules.
